Crafty day!

Me and mom were snowed in today so after she shoveled the driveway 4 times (with me unhappily in tow I might add) we decided to stay home and craft it up!
Naturally I did most of the work... Mom is really just my hands.
I think our final product turned out quite nicely (If you're into girly crap)
I added pictures below that show the before and after. Drool away...

I hate winter clothes..

I realize I basically live in a winter wonderland portrait but I say "Blah blah blah!" I HATE booties! Yet on the other paw I hate trying to walk in the stinking 10 billion feet of snow... So I let my mom make me look like a huge goober.
Having these short stumpy legs do make it tricky to keep booties on. This winter alone this is how the score stands:
Booties = 3
Me = 0
I'm hopeful my new socks will work out for me. I have a play date tomorrow with my best buddy Red so we will see if they pass the "Rough and tough" test.

I'm back!!

I'm well aware the last year has been a major failure in my blogging career. I have been quite upset at my mother for failing me (If I had thumbs I never would of missed a post!)
Now with the apologies out of the way I can start with catching you up on my crazy life!!
First and biggest news (Drum roll) I have a dad!! (You know a two legger dad.) He married my mom and I have to say they are quite the striking couple!

After the wedding we moved up to Eagle River where my dads house was. I love it here!! Mainly because now I get to go with my mom every day to work!! I'm not even kidding, I really do!
See below for picture proof!

I also love it because my dad plays so hard with me every day that I have no choice but to nap in front of the fireplace multiple times a day. Yes, I know, it's a rough life I lead.
My other great news is they're adding a little two legger to our family! I'm pretty excited because as you all know I love me some babies!
Well, that's enough for now. I need to go get ready for new years! I'm headed to my favorite vets house for a party!!

Mornings

Am I a morning dog? Well yes, yes I am.
I’m a huge fan of snuggling which I’m sure most of you already know..
However in case you don’t here’s my typical morning on the farm.

I wake up with my Aunty Kassy and we snuggle for a bit before we get out of bed.
I LOVE my good morning scratches.

Once I’m out of bed WATCH OUT I tear through the house like my butts on fire! I always make sure to check the living room to be sure my toys are where I left them, and then I find my Papa. He’s usually at the kitchen table where he knows I’ll be meeting him. We have some coffee (By WE I mean him, I’ve tried but he just wont share any with me).

Sometimes Missy beats me to Papa but no worries I just distract her by pretending I’m playing with one of her toys. When she jumps down to take it from me I jump into Papa’s lap! It’s really too easy..

After I eat my breakfast the options for the day are endless! Lots of dogs to visit, people to greet, fun to be had.
So see if you had my life you too would be a fan of mornings. Monday morning no less!

Winter May Be Over but Look at this Fawn Frenchy Frolic!

I guess I won’t complain about wearing that stupid coat next winter if I can get some sledding time in, it looks like it’s a blast!

New Fur Brother!

This is pretty HUGE news. When I say huge I mean like 1,500 pounds huge.
My mom has a new Horse! His name is Diablo and he’s an 8 year old Quarter horse.

Isn’t he beautiful?? No bones about it I’m obviously still the biggest looker in this family, but he’s not too shabby.

My Nana and Papa in Colorado called and surprised my mom with the news right before she left for work. They are AWESOME! Do you know anyone else that gets their kid a horse?? Hey wait a minute…My mom hasn’t got me a horse yet? WTH? Maybe it’s because I don’t have thumbs? Who knows. Anyways, Here’s a picture of them. Not to state the obvious but Daaaaang I have a good lookin family.

So my mom is going down to Colorado when she gets off work to break him. I was initially a bit worried about her because he’s so big, not to mention his name mean Devil! I know she’s a good rider and I’m sure he’ll fall in love with her just like I did so I stopped worrying (mainly for the simple fact that I found one of my chew bones and forgot about it).
My mom has been riding since she was very little. Being a big horse family they all start very young. Here is a picture of my youngest two legger cousin Mason. Yep they start them off early.
As for me I'm pretty well trained in the horse knowledge department. Unlike this crazy bastard "Gizmo" I know not to EVER, EVER, EVER go into the horse pen. Yep because I'm a smart dog and don't want to get smooshed. I'm perfectly happy OUTSIDE the pen (well that and my mom would spank my butt if she ever caught me in there).

Mom has promised to keep me updated with pictures as soon as she gets to Colorado so stay posted!!

TGIWDF

Yes, Yes I know it’s word of the day Friday. Here’s the thing, I forgot to have my two leggers take pictures of me with my words. So I’m mixing things up a bit.
Instead of giving you a word of the day I’m posting a word cloud. It’s pretty cool actually it’s all the words on my blog. The bigger the word the more I’ve used it! Apparently I like my mom… a LOT. He he not like all of you didn’t already know that…

Squishy McFatty Pants, Not Such a B.A.

I’ve been led astray my friends.  For two years I’ve been lead to believe Squishy McFatty Pants is the most vicious B.A. (aka Bad Ass) around.  Not true.

Upon our return from the ice fishing adventure yesterday, I was stalking some of my ladies in Arizona, (Hi Nana! Hi Carrie!), oops by stalking I mean just, uh, checking the weather in Arizona.

I stumbled on this article that a friend of a friend posted on Facebook, (no I do not have a Facebook page or Tweet, don’t get me started).  Check out these Freaks on the Golf Course.

Whatever you do ladies, DO NOT GO GOLFING!

I know I’ve complained about Squishy McFatty Pants but I’ll take her over these freaks any day.

Ice Fishing!

So yesterday my mom says we’re going on an adventure.  I’m all up for that! We’ve been sitting in the house for waaaay too long – it’s time to get out and stretch these legs.  I know what you’re thinking; with 6” legs how much does it take to stretch them?  I’ll tell you… a lot!  Just the other day I JUMPED from one sofa to the other when I was on my strafing run through the house (that’s right, S-T-R-A-F-I-N-G, there’s your word of the day for Friday, look it up).  I was making my rounds all fired up and running hell bent for leather.  I closed my eyes and JUMPED! It was awesome! I flew through the air, landed on all fours (as you do), and kept going.  Then I couldn’t stop because it was so much fun!  My mom was SUPER impressed.
I guess that’s why she decided we needed an adventure, she could tell I was getting a little antsy being cooped up for a few days.  So her friend Justin came over and then we went ice fishing.  I was pretty excited until my mom reached for my down coat! Ugh! I hate that thing!  It’s so binding!  Such a hindrance!  But, she’s the boss of me so I let her put it on.

We rode out to the lake in Justin’s HUGE red truck.  That thing was so far off the ground that there is no way I could ever jump into it.  Seriously, it was at least four feet off the ground.  But I tell ya, what a view we had from up there!

We went out on the ice on a lake.  It was pretty cool and a little cold on the old man berries because there had been a bit of snow so I was kinda glad I had my coat on – DO NOT TELL MY MOTHER I SAID THAT PLEASE!
Justin drilled a hole in the ice and my mom was a little nervous that I would fall in but hey, the hole wasn’t that big and I’m a dog, I have to sniff everything!

Then Mom and Justin sat with little miniature fishing poles and fished.  And fished. And fished. And caught nothing!  I watched with baited breath, (ha, ha, get it? baited breath?? I am so funny!), but nothing exciting came out of that hole.
I guess the fish thought it was too cold to come out of the water?  I don’t know but it was sure fun to get out of the house and smell some new smells!  I was pretty exhausted on the way home.  All of those awesome smells, struggling with that damn coat all day, and waiting and waiting for the fish that never came.  I conked right out on the way home.
